Ironbridge wedding at The Best Westen Valley Hotel
This Ironbridge wedding was absolutely perfect! Ironbridge is a lovely Shropshire Victorian town providing a beautiful backdrop for wedding photos.
Laura & Scott got married in an outdoor ceremony at the Best Westen Valley Hotel just minutes from Ironbridge town centre. The hotel itself is a very nice place to get married in Shropshire. It is actually full of surprises as you don’t realize how much it can offer when you first see it. The bridal suite where Laura got ready was just stunning – with a four poster bed and windows overlooking the outdoor ceremony place. The whole wedding day was so relaxed, filled with fun and laughter – a perfect Shropshire wedding venue to say I do’s!
The bride was so relaxed on the day, she did her own makeup and looked absolutely stunning in a Liberty wedding dress from Signature collection. Her amazing flower bouquets were made by Mary Joynes, a friend of the family and a now retired florist.
As the weather was lovely, the ceremony was held outside with friends and family gathered around. On to family and friends formals and groomsmen total stole the limelight, posing and having fun!
The party then moved into the reception room for an afternoon tea. Beautiful cake made by Karen Baker was a centre of everybody’s attention. After a couple of great speeches (bridesmaid Emma prepared a rap! it was brilliant :)), the cake was cut and I managed to grab the couple to go to Ironbridge towncentre. We had a nice casual stroll capturing some images with the iconic iron bridge. There was another thing I really wanted to do though – take the couple to the Ironbridge power station! Over the years it became a well known landmark in Shropshire, especially its red cooling towers. Sadly they are to be demolished, and the process has already started as I’m writing this. So it was great to get some wedding pictures with the towers as backround.
What else can I say – I absolutely loved the day, I cannot thank Laura & Scott enough for being so cool and giving me time to take some great wedding photos that they will cherish for the years to come!
